CADD TECHNICIAN
Description
Provide routine drafting and design support for Professional Engineer/Project Engineer during the planning and design of typical civil engineering projects such as commercial/industrial, office, retail, multi-family residential, single-family residential, and roads. In addition, this position will also support our Eminent Domain and Expert Witness practices with construction related exhibits and sketches.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Transforms initial rough product designs using computer aided design (CADD) into working documents;
• Reviews and completes cover sheets, demolition plans, site geometry/building stake-outs, paving/grading/drainage plans, water/sewer plans, detailed notes, and basic redlines;
• Obtains work assignments of either specific design elements or CADD drafting from Professional Engineer/Project Engineer with an allocated budget.
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or GED;
- Associates degree or completion of a technical trade school in CADD drafting/related field;
- Zero (0) to ten (10) years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Working knowledge of AutoCADD;
- Able to understand relationship between project details and project goals;
- Able to understand/analyze/interpret elements of land development;
- Problem Solving – Identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
