Job Specifications
The City of Tallahassee’s City Treasurer Clerk’s Office is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented case manager to join our team. In this role, you’ll provide medical case management and oversight for injured employees in the Workers’ Compensation program. Your work will support the rapid recovery of employees, a safe and timely return to work, and the prevention of future injuries.
What You'll Do:
- Coordinate and attend medical referrals to support timely recovery.
- Interpret medical findings and guide employees, managers, and Risk Management on return-to-work decisions.
- Partner with HR Safety to identify hazards, analyze job sites, and recommend preventive measures.
- Review injury claims and provide expert guidance to support positive outcomes.
- Maintain relationships with healthcare providers and recommend job modifications for temporary disabilities.
- Support wellness initiatives, counseling employees, and coordinating work restrictions to reduce lost time and boost productivity.
Minimum Training & Experience
- Associate's degree in nursing;
- Four (4) years of professional nursing experience
Necessary Special Requirements
- Must hold a current Florida Nursing license at the time of application.
- Successful applicant must also hold (or obtain through reciprocity) licensure in neighboring states (Alabama or Georgia).
NOTE: Preference may be given to applicants with certification in Occupational Health Nursing or Case Management designations.
