Reports To: Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Summary (Main Purpose)

The Manufacturing Engineer Intern supports the manufacturing engineering team with process improvement, production support, and documentation. This role provides hands on experience working with manufacturing processes, equipment, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

• Assist with developing and improving manufacturing processes to support production efficiency and quality.
• Support troubleshooting of production issues and work with engineering and production teams to identify solutions.
• Assist with evaluating manufacturing equipment and process improvements.
• Help support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean and process optimization.
• Assist with creating and maintaining process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
• Support engineering projects related to production improvements and new product launches.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams including engineering, quality, and operations.

Required Skills and Experience

• Currently pursuing a degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering principles.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to CAD software or engineering design tools.
• Interest in manufacturing operations or process improvement.
• Familiarity with Lean or continuous improvement concepts.
