Behavior Therapist
We are looking for candidates that would enjoy the rewarding experience of making a difference in the lives of kids diagnosed with Autism or other Developmental Disabilities and their families. Providing ABA therapy is a fulfilling job where you are able to work 1:1 with a student in their school or home to make their everyday life more productive. You will be providing direct instruction in an intensive teaching session, in the natural environment and in the community. Hands on training will be provided. The Therapist works with a team of other Therapists and a BCBA consultant to provide a range of applied behavior analytic (ABA) assessment and clinical services for children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders and related developmental disabilities. The Therapist will be responsible for implementing, not designing, the behavior plans designed by the BCBA consultant. The Therapist is a paraprofessional who practices under the close, ongoing supervision of the BCBA consultant. The Therapist is primarily responsible for the direct implementation of skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction plans developed by the consultant. The Therapist will collect data and conduct certain types of assessments (e.g., stimulus preference assessments). The Therapists does not design intervention or assessment plans.
