Role
The Internship is designed to provide an opportunity to learn about the wireless telecommunication infrastructure industry and to be challenged with meaningful, career-oriented work experience. This is a great opportunity for an engineering student to assist the team members in the development of engineering standards, evaluating and reporting trends on engineering and construction projects, and assisting with related questions.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate project statuses to identify and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with and assist Crown Castle engineers and project managers in the development of engineering and safety standards, reporting, and data tracking tools. This may include providing support on multiple projects working closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders (internal and external).
- Create and distribute correspondence relevant to the team, project, or program (internal and external).
- Update drawing standards for construction catalogs and specifications in AutoCAD.
- Review antenna models and set up wind tunnel testing simulations.
- Support implementation of inspection, repair, and maintenance site management platform used by Crown Castle Tower Field Services.
- Provide support on management of team related consultations (tower structural modifications, new tower construction, other construction activity, etc.).
- Generate system ad-hoc reports as requested.
- Participate in meetings.

Education/Certifications
- Currently enrolled as a student in a degree program from an accredited higher education institution
- Applicants must have completed at least 60 credit hours by the first day of the internship
- Preferred field(s) of study: Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
Skills and Experience
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) from June 1 to August 6, 2026
- Authorization to work in the U.S. on a full-time, regular basis without additional sponsorship
Reports to: Standards and Safety Project Manager
Work Plans: This role falls into our hybrid work model working in the office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. On Mondays and Fridays, teammates on the hybrid schedule will have the option to work from the office or home. Beginning July 1, 2026, our hybrid work model will be adjusted to 4 days in the office on Monday through Thursday. On Fridays, teammates on the hybrid schedule will have the option to work from the office or home.
Compensation Information: The hourly pay offered for this position is $19.50 per hour.
