Functional Consulting Analyst
Role Overview
Are you a recent college graduate or a professional considering a career change, looking to launch your career in technology consulting? Our Consultant Masterclass is designed to support your transition from college to career through immersive, hands-on learning and real-world project experience. As a Masterclass participant, you will complete a structured onboarding program that includes Microsoft product training, consulting fundamentals, AI enabled development practices, and applied business scenarios.
Upon completion, you will be positioned to obtain multiple Microsoft certifications and will continue receiving two years of mentorship, coaching, and professional development to support your growth as a functional consultant.
As an Analyst, you can expect to…
- Support senior consultants across all phases of client engagements, including analysis, discovery, solution design, configuration, data migration, testing, training, and deployment.
- Participate in solution design sessions and customer workshops; capture clear business requirements and assist in drafting functional specifications.
- Support the creation and implementation of solutions that help clients run, manage, and optimize their core business processes.
- Document “as-is” and “to-be” business processes and help create process flows and functional diagrams.
- Assist with functional configuration across business areas such as finance, operations, or supply chain, based on project needs and educational background.
- Learn and apply the application design process, understanding how business requirements translate into system configuration.
- Contribute to the creation of functional documentation, test scripts, and training materials.
- Execute test scenarios, document results, and support system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Provide end user training support and assist with both basic and advanced training sessions.
- Support post go-live activities, including troubleshooting, process clarification, and user adoption.
- Apply consulting methodologies, delivery processes, and best practices learned through the Masterclass program.
- Participate in internal training, knowledge sharing sessions, and team collaboration activities.
- Prepare workshop materials, prototypes, or simple demo environments with guidance.
- Travel to client sites when required.
- This is a New York City based role and requires regular attendance in the office.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Supply Chain, Finance, Business Administration, or a related business field.
- Strong understanding of business analysis, accounting fundamentals, supply chain concepts, or both, sufficient to participate meaningfully in client discussions.
- Internship or project experience in accounting, supply chain, operations, business analysis, or related business roles.
- Ability to understand client business needs and translate them into clear functional system requirements.
- Exposure to AI tools or AI supported workflows (e.g., Copilot, Claude, academic AI projects) and a willingness to adopt AI enabled ways of working.
- Strong analytical, documentation, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to learn new business processes, technologies, and concepts quickly in a consulting environment.
- Nice to have (not required): Exposure to enterprise business applications such as ERP or CRM systems (Microsoft, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Salesforce, etc.).
