We’re Hiring!
We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Setup Operator to join our fabrication team. Unlike a general operator, this role requires a candidate who can independently perform complex machine setups, select appropriate tooling, and troubleshoot production issues. You will be responsible for transforming flat sheet metal into precise three-dimensional components while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.
Why You’ll Love Working with Us
In addition to competitive pay and comprehensive benefits, we offer:
· Weekly pay
· Most group insurance benefits start the first of the month after 30 days of service
· Profit-sharing plan to reward your contributions
· Opportunities for continued skills development
What You’ll Do
· Machine Setup: Independently select, install, and align correct punch and die tooling (V-dies, radius dies, etc.) based on blueprint specifications
· Operation & Programming: Program CNC controllers, adjust back-gauge stops, and manage forming sequences to achieve precise bend angles
· Blueprint Reading: Interpret complex 2D/3D engineering drawings and technical schematics to determine material requirements and bend orders
· Quality Control: Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, and protractors to maintain tight tolerances (e.g., ±.005)
· Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper use of light curtains and Lockout/Tagout procedures
Shift Schedule:
Monday–Thursday: 6:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Schedule subject to change based on organizational needs.
What We’re Looking For
· Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of experience in press brake setup and operation (e.g., Amada, Haco, Cincinnati, Trumpf)
· Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in blueprint reading and basic shop math (geometry/trigonometry) for calculating bend allowances
This position requires heavy work, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing and walking for extended periods, bending, reaching, grasping objects, and the ability to see at a distance, up close, and in color. Exposure to outdoor weather, heat, noise, dust, and possible fumes may occur.
We are an equal opportunity employer. We will endeavor to make reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with known disabilities. You may confidentially discuss accommodation needs with Human Resources at any time throughout the hiring process.
