About BuzzWire Media & PodLab Studios
PodLab Studios is Detroit’s premium content factory for podcasters, brands, and influencers. We are part of the BuzzWire Media ecosystem, a boutique-bold creative agency delivering web, branding, video, and social content under one roof.
This studio moves fast. Clients rotate constantly. Projects overlap. The environment is creative, structured, and high-output.
This is not a remote role.
This is not a lead designer role.
This is not a social media manager role.
What This Role Actually Is
Operations-first. Creative-support second.
- 70% Studio Operations & Client Flow
- 30% Creative Execution
You are the operational backbone of the studio and the owner’s day-to-day coordination partner.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being around cameras, creative environments, and organized chaos more than sitting at a quiet desk.
This role lives inside a working production studio, not a traditional office.
You will coordinate daily studio activity while also acting as the owner’s right-hand operations assistant.
You are managing flow, schedules, preparation, and communication so productions run smoothly.
Some moments you are helping reset a podcast set, other moments you are organizing calendars, handling coordination, or keeping projects moving forward behind the scenes.
If you only want creative work, this is not the role.
If you only want a desk admin job, this is not the role.
This is a hybrid operations + production support position.
Your primary responsibility is keeping the studio organized and running smoothly. Creative tasks are supportive, not the main function.

Bonus Skills (Not Required, But Highly Valued)
We strongly value candidates who bring additional creative or operational strengths, such as:

- Experience helping build or document standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite
- Photography or videography experience
- Social media posting and scheduling knowledge
- Experience with scheduling systems (HoneyBook, Acuity, or similar)
- Strong working knowledge of Google Workspace
- High-level organizational habits and workflow management
These are advantages, not requirements. Strong organization and reliability matter most.

- Highly organized and dependable
- Comfortable juggling multiple responsibilities
