World in a Dish is a community kitchen in Kirkland, WA — warm, welcoming, and fully equipped. We host cooking classes, private events, and community gatherings. 10% of every class gives back to the community.
The Opportunity
We're looking for instructors who do more than cook — we want storytellers and hosts who light up a room, make every guest feel welcome, and turn a cooking class into a lasting memory.
You'll lead hands-on classes (up to 16 students) and private events (up to 25 guests), supported by a dedicated cooking instructor assistant for every session.
Two-Tier Career Path
Tier 1 — Cooking Instructor: Part-time, hourly pay, starting 1–2 classes per week. Design classes with approval, shop for ingredients (reimbursed), and coordinate with our team. A great way to get started.
Tier 2 — Partner Instructor: Full creative autonomy with profit sharing. Set your own class price and earn well above industry rates. Promotion based on performance.
Who You Are
- Passionate about cooking, teaching, and connecting with people
- A natural entertainer — comfortable leading a room and telling a story through food
- Organized, reliable, and able to manage ingredients and prep
- Food handler's permit required (or willingness to obtain one)
- No formal culinary degree needed — talent, enthusiasm, and people skills matter most
