Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analytics Intern to join our Finance team for the summer of 2026. This internship offers a unique opportunity to apply data analysis skills in a fast-paced, innovative aerospace environment. The intern will work closely with our finance professionals to analyze financial data, develop insights, and support data-driven decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in collecting, cleaning, and organizing financial data from various sources
- Develop and maintain financial dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI or Tableau
- Conduct statistical analyses to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in financial data
- Support the team in creating financial models and forecasts
- Collaborate with team members to improve data collection and analysis processes
- Assist in preparing presentations of findings for senior management
- Contribute to ad-hoc financial analysis projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Excel and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and financial modeling concepts
- Experience with programming languages such as Python or R is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with financial statements and basic accounting principles
- Experience with SQL or other database query languages
- Knowledge of machine learning techniques and their applications in finance
- Understanding of data privacy and security best practices
