CAD Designer/Drafter Intern

Summary:

This position is responsible for planning, designing, documenting, and drafting while aiding Design Engineers and others as necessary.

 

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Create sketches, part models, and assemblies in SolidWorks for a variety of Genesis products.
  • Draft detailed Ulti-view drawings of machined parts, weldments, and assemblies.
  • Complete all documentation required for each project as instructed.
  • Work with members of the engineering and manufacturing departments as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience and Requirements:

  • Pursuing a two-year degree in mechanical design and experience using SolidWorks design software.
  • Experience with 2-D draftingsoftware such as AutoCAD.
  • Basic knowledge of dimensioning, tolerancing, and bill of materials. 
  • Knowledge of fabrication and machining practices preferred but not required.
