Civil Engineer – Project Engineer
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Engineer (Civil) to join our team. The Project Engineer will play a key role in supporting project planning, design, and execution for a variety of civil engineering projects. This position involves collaborating with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory standards and company quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering projects including site development, utilities, transportation, and infrastructure.
- Prepare, review, and coordinate engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports.
- Provide technical support to project managers, field staff, and contractors during all phases of the project.
- Assist in preparing cost estimates, project schedules, and resource requirements.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with project plans and safety standards.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies, stakeholders, and clients to ensure project approvals and permits are obtained.
- Identify potential design, construction, and scheduling challenges and recommend solutions.
- Support project documentation, submittals, and change management processes.
- Ensure adherence to company standards, safety guidelines, and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (required).
- EIT certification (Engineer-in-Training) required; PE license preferred or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe.
- 2+ years of civil engineering or project engineering experience (internships may be considered).
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering design, construction methods, and project management principles.
- Proficiency with engineering software AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when required.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
