Zoo Media Finance Analyst Intern - Remote

This internship is designed for emerging analysts who want to understand how youth‑focused media organizations grow, sustain impact, and make strategic decisions rooted in data.

Interns gain hands‑on experience analyzing financial performance, building forecasting models, and supporting strategic planning across Zoo Media’s expanding network of creator programs, digital platforms, educational initiatives, and community‑driven media projects. Your work directly supports the financial stability behind youth empowerment, digital storytelling, and mission‑aligned innovation.

What You’ll Do

Financial Analysis & Modeling

  • Collect, organize, and analyze financial data across Zoo Media programs and digital platforms.
  • Build financial models and projections using spreadsheets and analytical tools.
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and visual summaries for leadership and cross‑functional teams.
  • Support scenario modeling for revenue, partnerships, and long‑term sustainability.

Research & Strategic Insights

  • Research industry trends, youth‑media economics, and emerging opportunities in digital content ecosystems.
  • Analyze financial statements to identify patterns, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting for creator programs, digital initiatives, and community partnerships.
  • Translate insights into recommendations that strengthen Zoo Media’s mission‑driven strategy.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Work with creative, operations, and technology teams to gather data and understand program needs.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving financial processes and transparency.
  • Help convert financial insights into accessible, youth‑friendly communication materials.
  • Support financial storytelling for internal teams, creators, and external partners.

Process Improvement & Documentation

  • Document financial workflows, templates, and forecasting tools.
  • Help refine internal systems to improve accuracy, clarity, and efficiency.
  • Maintain organized financial repositories and standardized reporting structures.

Meeting Schedule

  • Mondays @ 9:00 AM MST
  • Wednesdays @ 10:00 AM MST
  • Fridays @ 8:00 AM MST
  • SkillBridge participants: Thursdays @ 9:00 AM MST

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with financial modeling, spreadsheets, and data analysis tools.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Curious, proactive, and eager to learn in a mission‑driven, youth‑focused environment.
  • Previous internship experience welcome but not required.
