The Role We are looking for a motivated recent civil engineering graduate to join our Land Development Engineering team. This is a hands-on opportunity to work on all phases of residential land development, from raw land through final lot delivery, under the direct mentorship of a licensed Professional Engineer.
What You Will Do
- Assist in the preparation of land development plans including grading, stormwater management, utility layout, and roadway design
- Support permit submissions to PA DEP, PennDOT, and local municipalities
- Collaborate with surveyors, contractors, architects, and civil engineering consultants
- Attend pre-construction meetings, review contractor submittals, and support field observations
- Perform site visits to monitor construction progress and resolve technical issues
- Assist with project budgets, quantity takeoffs, contractor bids, and pay applications
- Support due diligence and feasibility analysis for potential land acquisitions
- Work alongside land use attorneys on subdivision approvals, zoning hearings, and entitlement reviews
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or closely related field
- EIT certification preferred or ability to obtain shortly after hire
- Zero to three years of experience; internship or co-op in land development or site design is a plus
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar software preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with attorneys, municipal officials, and contractors
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects at once
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
