Classification: Human Resources Student Assistant Department: Office of Human Resources
Position Summary: Provide administrative support to the Office of Human Resources. Provide exceptional customer service and handle sensitive material with a high level of confidentiality. Complete administrative tasks that assist the Human Resource Staff. *Must be available to work a minimum of 15 hours per week, during the school year. Must also be available to work Summers*

GOALS AND WORKER OBJECTIVES
65% A. Human Resources Student Assistant
- A1. Support to the HR Staff in areas including, but not limited to, the hiring process, benefits, student employment and wellness.
- A2. Perform front desk operations in a professional and confidential manner, including but not limited to, greeting customers in person and on the phone, responding to emails, as well as assisting with paperwork and Human Resource related questions.
- A3. Maintain and organize the front desk reception area so it is clean and welcoming at all times.
- A4. Deliver and retrieve incoming and outgoing mail for the Office of Human Resources and deliver appropriately.
- A5. Work as a team to accomplish projects with members of the Human Resources staff.
- A6. Work to build respected relationships across campus and maintain Human Resources rapport with its employees and community.

- B1. Utilize ImageNow to scan and link paperwork/documents.
- B2. File and organize Human Resources paperwork and personnel files.
- B3. Archiving personnel files per appropriate protocol.
10 % D. Other Duties as Assigned
- D1. Under the direction of the Office of the Human Resources Staff, perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-Familiarity in Microsoft Office, including but not limited to:
- Excel, to create lists and maintain databases.
- Word, including mail merger, label-making.
- Outlook, to regularly monitor incoming emails.
-Willing to learn Workday and ImageNow
-Ability to work well independently and as a team
-Familiarity with business style format for letters and envelopes, as well as using general office equipment such as, but not limited to, landline phones and fax machines.
-Capable of multi-tasking and making decisions about competing tasks
-Capacity to take initiative
-Good oral and written communication skills
-Ability to interact respectfully with people from diverse socioeconomic,
cultural, and ethnic backgrounds
-Ability to problem solve
