INTERN COMMUNICATIONS JOB DESCRIPTION
This program gives students as well as recent graduates the opportunity to gain new skill sets while also building connections, both personally and professionally. *Applicants not located in the Austin area are responsible for obtaining housing and or transportation*
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conducts themselves in a professional manner while supporting the Governor’s messaging in all press related items and materials.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work as a team.
- Sting problem solving skills.
- Willingness to learn.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Preferably at least a junior in college.
Available to start May 27, 2026, for Summer 2026 session.
Intern supervisors will be providing feedback to interns on a consistent basis to ensure the intern has a successful internship.
The internship is a volunteer position and is NOT paid.
The intern will be working up to 25 hours a week in this division.
