Technical Sales
Aftermarket Outside Sales and Estimating position (onsite in Dearborn)
We are looking for a recent BSME graduate for a Sales and Estimating role for our client in Dearborn, Michigan. They are willing to train the right person with strong customer communication skills, an engineering degree, and strong mechanical aptitude.
This is a sales role, selling aftermarket parts for conveyors, working a lot with the shipping and receiving team, writing quotes, and communicating with customers. Responsible for day-to-day duties including but not limited to the items listed below. The successful candidate will need to act proactively, be punctual, and reliable. $70K base, lots of local travel within 200 miles, and minimal long-distance travel.

- Discuss and review system requirements with customers to make application recommendations based on the information provided
- Responsible for gathering all the required information needed for quoting and working collaboratively with job estimating
- Build relationships with customers to gain long-term partnerships
- Computer – MS Office, Word, Teams and Excel
- Provide Customer Service
Experience
- Engineering background or strong mechanical aptitude
- Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills with emphasis on Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook
- Excellent prioritization skills with the ability to prioritize own time, & time and workflow of others
- A thorough understanding of the nature of an office environment and the importance of confidentiality, discretion, and sound judgement
