Universal Technical Resource Services, Inc. (UTRS) is currently seeking an ambitious writer for the position of Proposal Writer to join our team! This position will require a keen attention to detail, collaborative writing, and interfacing with Subject Matter Experts about technical and engineering content. This position is located at Marlton, NJ.  This is a hybrid position.

 

What will you be doing?

 

This position will be a key member of the proposal team. Duties include:

  • Technical writing and editing
  • An understanding of the Government services (DoD) proposal process
  • Research, collect, and organize content for proposals
  • Write and build proposals, such as Technical, Management, Past Performance, and Resumes
  • Format proposals in MS-Word
  • Assist with past proposal library building and maintenance
  • Attend and participate in strategic proposal meetings
  • Work closely with the proposal team, and interface with technical program managers, contracts, and the executive staff
  • Use an automated proposal development system
  • Perform Compliance Checks

 

What skills will the ideal candidate have to be successful?

 

This position will require the following skillsets and experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Writing or English preferred)
  • 6+ years of writing experience
  • Must submit writing sample
  • Expert-level usage of Microsoft Word and working knowledge of other Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to quickly learn to use new software 
  • Strong skills in communication and teamwork
  • Ability to switch between tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
