Position Title: Santa Monica Police Department – Juvenile Division Fellow (1 Position)

College: Bellarmine College of Liberal Arts
Hours: Approximately 30-hours per week for 8 weeks
Duration: Summer 2026

Position Overview
The Juvenile Division Fellow will support trauma informed and restorative programming for justice involved youth under the age of 18. This position centers on holistic, strengths-based approaches that aim to reduce recidivism, promote accountability, and foster positive youth development.
The Fellow will work alongside program staff and community partners to strengthen diversion efforts through research, workshop development, and program evaluation support. This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in youth advocacy, restorative justice, and community based public safety strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Research juvenile diversion and restorative justice best practices
- Assist in developing and refining youth workshops and engagement activities
- Support coordination with community-based partner organizations
- Contribute to program outcome tracking and evaluation efforts
- Participate in case review discussions and assist with documentation
- Draft summaries, reflections, and program materials
