Brand Ambassador – Appalachian Trails Day Activations

Location: Damascus, VA
Dates: May 15–17, 2026
Compensation: $25+ per hour based on experience (plus per diem) 


 

About the Opportunity

We’re seeking several energetic Brand Ambassadors to help operate a Trail Oasis at the 2026 Appalachian Trail Days in Damascus, Virginia—one of the best-known trail towns along the Appalachian Trail.

The Trail Oasis will provide hikers and visitors with a welcoming place to rest, recharge, hydrate, and connect. Brand Ambassadors will help create a relaxed and friendly environment while introducing guests to the benefits of staying connected—even when adventuring in the outdoors. Ideal candidate has a connection to the outdoors, marketing and has some experience as a brand ambassador. 
 

Responsibilities

  • Welcome hikers, cyclists, and visitors to the Trail Oasis
  • Help guests recharge devices and relax in the space
  • Have hikers sign release for participating
  • Distribute promotional items and refreshments
  • Encourage guests to participate in quick engagement activities or social sharing
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting activation space
  • Represent the brand with professionalism, positivity, and enthusiasm
     

Ideal Candidate

  • Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable engaging with hikers and outdoor travelers
  • Able to communicate clearly and naturally about the brand’s services
  • Reliable and punctual for all scheduled shifts
  • Prior experience in brand promotion, events, retail, or hospitality preferred
  • Comfortable standing and working outdoors for extended periods
  • Must be 18 years or older

Schedule

  • Thursday, May 15: Setup and first activation period
  • Friday, May 16: Full engagement day
  • Saturday, May 17: Final engagement and breakdown
     

Bonus Qualifications

  • Familiarity with hiking culture or trail communities
  • Experience working festivals, races, or outdoor events
  • Comfortable helping guests with simple tech questions (charging, connectivity, etc.)
