Visitor Services Associate
Join the team at Door County's most visited and photographed Lighthouse, Cana Island! Visitor Services Associates are the first and last staff visitors encounter, and are an essential part of the Cana Island team! Every day is different, so while the duties listed cover most of the requirements, other duties and skills may be necessary.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining a friendly and
professional attitude; - Handle transactions at the Admissions Desk, including admissions, store sales, and guest interactions;
- Communicate general information and history of Cana Island Light Station and Door County Maritime Museum;
- Maintain radio contact with store and tower personnel;
- Responsible for keeping area neat and clean at all times;
- Facilitate visitors climbing lighthouse tower;
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Needed Skills:
- Strong computer skills and a ability to learn Point of Sale computer systems and
software; - Demonstrates resourcefulness, good judgment, and excellent interpersonal and
communications skills. Can effectively listen and interpret the needs of the customer and make appropriate recommendations; - Shows sensitivity to diversity including individuals with physical challenges or special
needs;
