Internship Goals:
1. To provide a learning experience for someone interested in a call to the educational ministries-particularly youth ministry.
2. To develop and implement summer programs to enhance the life and ministry of RPC.
3. To build relationships with the Roswell Youth Experience (ryeX) students to help and encourage them to grow in their faith in Jesus Christ.
Reports to: High School Intern: Victoria Robinson, Associate Pastor for Youth Discipleship & Ministry; Middle School Intern: Kerri Irwin, Director of Middle School Ministry
In addition, works with: Betsy Homer, Senior Director of Worship & Programs; Cole Sandridge, Assistant Director of Youth Ministry
Qualifications:
1. At least 18 years old and completed at least one year of college.
2. In a growing relationship with Jesus Christ
3. Willing to serve God faithfully through ryeX
4. Possess leadership skills
5. Able to work effectively as a team member
6. Able to develop and lead youth programs and activities with guidance from the youth staff
7. Able to attend youth events and trips during the scheduled 10 week period
Expectations:
1. Assist in planning and leading summer Sunday School, Bible studies, service opportunities, and trips, and fellowship events
2. Help plan, coordinate, and implement youth activities and fellowship events with a variety of students
3. Assist with VBS and other churchwide activities as needed
4. Offer staff support to youth ministry adult volunteers
5. Attend weekly intern meeting and Bible study
6. Attend RPC worship and church functions as well as youth and staff meetings/lunches
7. Other responsibilities as desired and/or assigned
Time Frame: (start and end dates depend can be negotiated depending on candidate)
10 week period; 40 hrs/week
