College Prep 101 Instructor, Navigating College: Admissions: Tufts Pre-College Programs
Role Overview
The Tufts University College Pre-College team is seeking an Instructor to teach College Prep 101 (CP101) offered by Tufts’ University College to rising high school sophomores, juniors, seniors, and spring graduates. College Prep 101 is a 6-week, Friday summer workshop series designed to allow students to develop skills and materials that will help them as they head into the next phase of their education journey.
The Instructor will be responsible for leading and facilitating CP101 session Navigating College: Admissions and will work closely with the Program Lead and the Pre-College team to deliver a high-quality, engaging, and supportive experience for students.
College Prep 101 sessions will take place on Fridays throughout the program. The TCE cohort runs for 6 weeks from July 6 to August 14, 2026.

- Instructors should plan for approximately 6-8 hours each Friday, including preparation, instruction, and wrap-up.
Compensation
The total compensation for this position, inclusive of all planning and instructional time, is $3,500.
Responsibilities
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and respected
- Lead and instruct a group of students in an in-person instructional setting, maintaining high standards for behavior and safety from July 6, 2026 through August 14, 2026
- Assist students who are struggling with course content and provide proactive support
- Serve as a positive adult role model through appropriate dress, speech, attitude, and conduct
- Evaluate course daily and provide feedback on suggestions for improvement to the Pre-College Programs Team
- Demonstrate reliability and punctuality by arriving on time for all scheduled activities
- Monitor and report student attendance to ensure safety protocols are followed
- Submit final grades in a timely manner in accordance with Tufts University deadlines
- Other duties as needed

- Ability to instruct students of varying skill and experience levels
- Demonstrated flexibility, discretion, and a desire to support others
- Experience working with students from diverse ethnic backgrounds, academic profiles, and skill levels
- Strong interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), organizational, and customer service skills
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to develop and operationalize processes
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
