Personal Care Assistant
About the Role
Mazik Group, LLC is seeking motivated individuals interested in gaining meaningful experience in school-based behavioral support.
Personal Care Assistants provide structured, hands-on support to students within school settings across Chester County. Assignments may be in elementary, middle, or high school environments depending on placement needs.
This role is ideal for students or graduates pursuing careers in:
- Education

- Human Services
Work follows daytime academic schedules aligned with the school calendar.
What You’ll Do
- Support student engagement during classroom instruction
- Assist with transitions and structured routines
- Implement behavior support strategies under supervision
- Collect objective data
- Collaborate with teachers and clinical supervisors
- Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality
- PCAs work under the supervision of a BCBA and as part of a school-based team.

This position requires reliability, emotional steadiness, and professionalism.
Candidates should be comfortable:
- Receiving feedback and supervision
- Remaining calm during student behavioral escalation
- Following structured support plans
- Maintaining consistent effort throughout the school day
- This role is not passive supervision. It requires active engagement and attentiveness.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to obtain required Pennsylvania school clearances:
- PA State Police Criminal History Check (Act 34)
- PA Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151)
- FBI Fingerprint-Based Clearance (Act 114)
- Reliable transportation
- Availability during daytime school hours
Preferred
- College coursework in education, psychology, or related field
- Enrollment in or plans to pursue a degree in a human services discipline
- Interest in pursuing RBT, BCaBA, or BCBA credentials
Professional Growth

Compensation & Benefits
- $24.00 – $27.00 per hour based on experience and education

- Clearance costs are reimbursed after 60 days of active employment in good standing.
