The Electrical Engineering Intern will support real engineering projects through hands-on electrical design support, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration while gaining practical experience in a professional, team-based environment. This hybrid internship is based in Louisville, KY and is designed to help students grow their technical skills, take ownership of meaningful work, and contribute in ways that create value for both the team and our customers.
Time Frame: May–August 2026
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of assigned engineering tasks and deliver high-quality work with care and accountability.
- Support electrical design and documentation by assisting with items such as electrical drawings/schematics, panel documentation, wiring/IO details, and parts/BOM organization as needed for project execution.
- Coordinate across teams and partners by communicating needs, tracking open items, and supporting vendor interactions and component readiness to keep projects moving.
- Consider customer needs and real-world application when supporting design decisions, ensuring solutions are practical, safe, and field-ready.
- Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional partners by sharing ideas, asking questions, and applying feedback to improve outcomes.
- Communicate progress clearly and respectfully while managing time, priorities, and responsibilities effectively.
