Program Coordinator Intern
Game Changers Leadership Institute (GCLI) is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Youth Mentor for our innovative youth leadership program. As a 501c3 organization founded in 2018, GCLI is committed to fostering leadership and empowerment among BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) youth in the Inland Empire, with aspirations for statewide expansion. Our mission is to provide a platform for young leaders to develop their skills, express their passions, raise their voices, and address systemic change authentically. We empower BIPOC youth to become future leaders, activists, and organizers.. Our focus is equipping our youth with the necessary skills, knowledge, and resources to effectively lead and advocate for their communities.

Program Coordinator Intern Responsibilities:
- Mentor/Mentee Support: Facilitate, monitor, and document one-to-one mentoring matches, including regular check-ins with families and mentors.
- Event Coordination: Plan and execute monthly enrichment activities, workshops, and community-based events.
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Assist with marketing efforts, interview potential mentors, and support the screening process (e.g., background checks, references).
- Data Management: Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in database systems (e.g., Salesforce) for reporting to stakeholders.
- Training Assistance: Help organize and facilitate training sessions for new mentors.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between the organization, volunteer mentors, parents, and community partners
Qualifications:
- Current student or recent graduate in social work, education, psychology, or related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Passion for youth development and working with diverse populations.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace.
- Background check and fingerprinting typically required.
