Packaging Engineer

Overview:

The packaging engineer/project manager services designated accounts, often in support of designated sales representatives. PE/PM will oversee and coordinate the workflow of orders and communication from beginning to end (initial inquiry, quoting, order creation, art approvals, supplier communication, and shipment). The project manager must be Organized – Self Motivated – Curious - Engaged

Key Responsibilities:

-Understand and adhere to the CartonCraft CSR Process for all orders

- Learn all aspects of products and product categories that CartonCraft offers

- Service designated accounts with direction from Sales Rep or Sales Management

- Support efforts of Sales team as needed

- Ensure quality of product by verifying specification details for every order including color, finish,

style, dimensions, quantity, materials, shipping addresses, etc.

- Speak with customers & suppliers directly by email & phone

- Provide detailed specifications to internal and external partners to develop pricing

- Manage quotes/orders/inventory/releases for designated accounts from beginning to end

- Become expert in the process of making Folding Cartons

- Quickly and accurately estimate job costs for Folding Cartons

- Create the following documents, to be sent to customers: quotes, order confirmations, pick

tickets, packing lists, tracking info, invoices

- Create the following documents to be sent to suppliers – quote requests, purchase orders

- Ensure on time delivery – regular follow up on production orders, adherence to due dates,

provide regular updates Sales and Sales Management Contact

- Track shipments after all deliveries and provide packing lists & tracking info to customers

- Maintain organized customer records for all samples sent, quotes, order confirmations,

invoices

- Learn EFI Radius and utilize its functions for estimating, order entry, PO, releases/shipments

- Prepare quotes for shipments via Truck, UPS/ FED EX/ POSTAL SERVICE

- Prepare and ship samples/packages with shipping UPS/FEDEX label info for customers

Skills and Expectations:

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Use of the business management software EFI Radius (training provided)

Compose emails and letters to clients and suppliers

Comfortable utilizing telephones, zoom, teams, facetime etc. for client meetings as needed
