Operations & Systems Analyst
Operations & Systems Analyst (High-Growth Track)
Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid/On-site)
Experience: Early Career (1–3 years)
The Opportunity
We are a healthcare workforce technology company seeking a curious, tech-savvy "tinkerer" to serve as the engine room of our operations. This isn't a role for someone who wants to just "check boxes"—it’s for someone who looks at a manual process and thinks, "There has to be a better way to do this."
As our Operations & Systems Analyst, you will bridge the gap between our data and our daily execution. You will be responsible for building the dashboards that guide our decisions and the workflows that power our growth. For the right candidate, this role is a fast track to future leadership, with the potential to eventually oversee entire departments as the company scales.
What You’ll Do
- Audit & Optimize: Deep-dive into our current operational workflows. Identify friction points and "manual toil" that can be automated or eliminated.
- Data Architecture: Use Trevor.io (and other BI tools) to build live, automated reports. You don't need to be a SQL wizard, but you must have the logical mindset to connect different data sources.
- Tool Integration: Manage and "tinker" with our tech stack to ensure information flows seamlessly between teams.
- Internal Consulting: Work directly with department heads to understand their pain points and build custom solutions that help them win.
- Strategic Reporting: Present actionable insights to leadership. Don't just give us numbers; tell us what the numbers mean we should do next.
Work Experience & Education
- Experience: 1–3 years of professional experience in an analytical or operational role. Startup experience is a major plus.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a field emphasizing logical systems or problem-solving (e.g., Industrial Engineering, MIS, Business Analytics, Economics, or Computer Science). We value "non-traditional" backgrounds if you can demonstrate high technical aptitude.
- Proven "Tinkering": Evidence of having identified a problem and built a solution—whether a complex Excel model, a No-Code automation, or a revamped physical workflow.
Technical Skills
- The Logic Layer: High proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables should be second nature).
- The Visualization Layer: Familiarity with BI tools. We use Trevor.io; if you’ve used Tableau, PowerBI, or Metabase, you’ll pick it up quickly.
- The Automation Layer: Familiarity with (or a deep desire to learn) "Glue Tech" like Zapier, Make.com, or Airtable.
- The Communication Layer: Ability to translate "Data-Speak" into "Human-Speak" for non-technical stakeholders.
Who You Are
- A Natural Problem Solver: You have a "hacker" mentality. You enjoy taking things apart to see how they work and putting them back together better than they were before.
- High-Agency: You don't wait for a manual; you go find the answer. You take extreme ownership of your projects.
- Houston-Based: You are ready to engage with the local team and become a key part of the Houston business community.
- Future Leader: You have the ambition to move beyond analysis into high-level operational management.
