Looking to develop and showcase your social media skills? Campus Philly is seeking a social media intern based in the Greater Philadelphia region to join our remote-first team for a 10-week period, beginning at the end of March and ending in early June 2026.

We are seeking candidates that are current college students or recent graduates in the Philadelphia region. Juniors and seniors in college are strongly encouraged to apply.

The Social Media Intern will work closely with the Specialist of Content and Design, and the Vice President of Communications, and will focus on all aspects of content marketing and content creation to amplify Campus Philly’s programming & initiatives. The Social Media intern will create content that promotes our Philly Night Out events, Guide to Philly, “Things to Do in Philly” Series, Spring Career Event, Career Hub, and our Guide2Goods. The role also includes supporting the management of Campus Philly’s Instagram and TikTok, creating engaging video content for our social platforms, collaborating with local businesses, and assisting in managing local student influencers as part of our Campus Creators program.

Here are some of the projects our Social Media Intern will work on this spring:

  • Support the management of Campus Philly’s Instagram and TikTok platforms, reporting popularity and engagement on a weekly basis, and providing recommendations and ideas for future content or events with oversight from the Specialist of Content and Design
  • Create 1-2 Instagram Reels per week promoting our Philly Night Out events, Spring Career Event, graduation content, things to do, student discounts, and more as determined
  • Find upcoming events & share with our audience through the Campus Philly Events Calendar
  • Produce 3-4 static posts per week to increase brand awareness and engagement, including our weekly “Things to Do in Philly” Series
  • Post to Instagram Stories and interact with our audience by creating engaging posts and re-posting events, things to do, and student-generated content
  • Help to grow our new Campus Creators program by recruiting local Philly-based student influencers who are college students or recent graduates
  • Launch social campaigns from start to finish on Campus Philly’s social media platforms that get other students excited to live, study, and work in Philly—and that increase our following and engagement on the platform
  • Assist in managing and responding to our Direct Messages on both Instagram and TikTok, engaging with students and answering questions as needed
  • Attend Campus Philly events, as needed, to capture and create content to share on Instagram and TikTok
  • Help manage and create content for the Threads app

Over this 10-week period, you will work closely with all members of the Campus Philly team, gaining additional experience in event planning and marketing, relationship management, strategic content creation, and more.

Now, let’s talk perks. Campus Philly partners with Philly’s top museums and sites, like the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Barnes Foundation, Independence Blue Cross RiverRink, the Philadelphia Zoo, and many, many more. Have a place you’d like to visit to create great content for Campus Philly? We can make that happen. Plus, we offer a flexible work schedule and the chance to connect with partners and other college students in the Philadelphia region!

If you have an excellent knowledge of social media platforms, a passion for Philadelphia, and an appetite for creating and producing engaging video content, submit an application today.

Please include 2-3 social posts (Instagram Reel, TikTok video or post, etc.) with your application, showing off the kind of content you’d produce for our team. You can send us links to your videos and posts—we’d love to see what kind of content you’re already producing!

Requirements:

  • Must be local to the Philly area and able to travel throughout the region when needed to film content, or to attend events and in-person meetups
  • Has significant experience creating content for Instagram and TikTok
  • Has experience working with video editing platforms such as CapCut and Videoleap
  • Has experience or knowledge of WordPress (not required but a plus!)
  • Has knowledge of media trends and stays informed on the latest updates on social media
  • Has an interest in content marketing and content production
  • Has a strong knowledge about Campus Philly, our brand, and our voice
  • Is active on Instagram and TikTok, and has a strong on-campus following
  • Has knowledge of the Threads app
  • Is detail-oriented, with an appreciation for grammar, spelling, and proofreading
  • Is analytical, curious, and proactive
  • Has strong interpersonal skills and is a fast and adaptive learner
  • Has a passion for sharing their experience in Philadelphia through social media
  • Is able to perform this role remotely by having access to a functional phone, computer, and Internet service for Microsoft Teams meetings with the Campus Philly team

Students who identify as Black, Brown, Indigenous, or a Person of Color strongly encouraged to apply.

This role will require ten (10) hours per week, and will take place over a 10-week period beginning the week of March 30, 2026 and ending the week of June 1, 2026. The role will pay $15 per hour.
