SUMMER INTERNSHIP!

 

$20/hour!

Summary/Objective:

Under the supervision of a designated individual on the HR team, the HR Intern provides general support to the HR team by assisting with assigned projects, administrative tasks, and day-to-day operations. This role is designed to provide meaningful, hands-on learning experience while contributing to team objectives. As a paid internship position, this role is intended to last approximately 12 weeks and is considered a full-time 40-hour per week role. This role will have a focus on supporting core HR operations, compliance activities, and process improvement while gaining hands-on experience in People & Culture functions.

The Intern is accountable for:

  • Accurate and timely completion of assigned work in alignment with defined expectations, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Effective organization and maintenance of information and materials to support team decision-making, project execution, and learning initiatives.
  • High-quality preparation of materials and resources that meet established formatting, accuracy, and documentation standards.
  • Professional participation and engagement in meetings, training, and collaborative team interactions.
  • Consistent adherence to organizational policies, procedures, and role-specific guidelines, including confidentiality, data privacy, and security requirements.
  • Continuous learning and development through actively seeking feedback and applying learnings to improve performance and skill development.

 

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The responsibilities of this position will primarily involve sitting, standing, and walking in a professional office environment. This role will require significant use of standard computer/laptop equipment. This role will be required to occasionally carry items under 10 pounds

 

Required Education and Experience

  • HS Diploma or GED Required
  • Must have a strong interest in pursuing a career in or having a strong interest in or learning more about Human Resources
  • Able to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Demonstrates proficient computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications

 

Additional Requirements:

The Intern role is designed to be a highly collaborative developmental role and as such is considered a full onsite role at our downtown Milwaukee Support Center, Monday through Friday, during standard business hours. A taxable transportation stipend will be provided.
