Job Title: Quality Control (QC) Chemist

Job Overview:
Bajaj Medical LLC, a U.S.-based leader in the production of generic liquid drugs and antiseptic products, is seeking a Quality Control (QC) Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting and testing materials, products, and equipment to make sure that they meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance with regulatory requirements. As part of the quality assurance team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our products throughout the production process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspecting and Testing: Conduct thorough inspections and testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products at various stages of production to ensure compliance with established quality standards. This includes testing products purchased from suppliers to ensure consistency with specifications.
- Maintaining Equipment: Ensure all measuring and testing equipment is properly calibrated and maintained. Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on laboratory instruments, machines, and tools to keep them in good working order.
- Ensuring Compliance: Verify that production processes comply with all relevant regulatory requirements, company standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Ensure the adherence to safety and quality guidelines during manufacturing to maintain compliance with industry regulations.
- Recording and Reporting: Accurately document test results, measurements, and observations in compliance with internal and regulatory reporting standards. Write clear, detailed reports on findings and communicate issues to supervisors for resolution.
- Identifying Issues: Identify any inconsistencies, defects, or deviations in products and processes. Analyze test results to determine root causes and recommend necessary improvements to the manufacturing process to resolve quality issues.
- Supporting Customers: Address customer complaints related to product quality and work closely with the customer service and production teams to resolve issues. Assist in providing feedback to suppliers as needed to ensure product consistency and quality.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and able to identify discrepancies.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for clear documentation and reporting.
- Solid laboratory skills and experience with testing procedures and equipment
- Proficiency in HPLC analysis is required.
- Previous experience in a pharmaceutical or similar manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards such as GMP and FDA regulations.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and suggest actionable solutions for process improvements.
- Familiarity with safety equipment and protocols (e.g., gloves, masks, etc.).
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Pharmaceutical Science, Chemistry, Biology)
- Experience in the pharmaceutical or medical manufacturing industry is a plus.
