• Thursday: 2:30 PM – 4:30 PM
• Tuesday: 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM / Tuesday: 2:30 PM – 4:30 PM
• Wednesday: 2:30 PM – 4:30 PM

Grade Levels: TK/K, Middle School, High School
Estimated Hours: 3–4 per week

About the Role

Digital Dreamers STEAM Academy is seeking a Lead Culinary Instructor who can turn kitchen basics into hands-on learning experiences. This role focuses on guiding students through simple, structured recipes while building confidence, independence, and essential life skills in a fun and supportive afterschool environment.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead engaging, hands-on cooking lessons that teach foundational skills such as measuring, mixing, knife safety, food prep, and kitchen safety.
• Break down recipes into clear, step-by-step instructions appropriate for each grade level.
• Introduce basic nutrition concepts and encourage creativity in the kitchen.
• Foster teamwork, confidence, and curiosity.
• Support students of all skill levels and encourage pride in their finished dishes.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere.
• Prep ingredients and materials before class.
• Set up and clean up cooking stations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom space.
• Record attendance and communicate supply needs or program updates to the team.

Compensation & Support

• Paid prep time included.
• Mileage reimbursement provided for travel between program sites.
• All cooking supplies, appliances, ingredients, and structured curriculum/lesson plans are provided.
