Overview
PLANET.TECH has an incredible story to tell: a 10-person team that went from 3% to 28.8% methane capture efficiency in three months, with 35 dairy farm LOIs and a mission to prevent 14% of global methane emissions. We need someone who can help us tell that story to investors, media, farmers, and the world. As our Marketing & Communications Intern, you’ll own content creation, media outreach support, and brand building for a company at the intersection of climate tech and agriculture.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage content for LinkedIn, Twitter/X, and other social channels (PLANET.TECH currently has minimal social presence — you’d be building it)
- Draft blog posts, press releases, and thought leadership content for the CEO
- Support media outreach campaigns: research journalists, draft pitches, track responses (65+ media targets already identified)
- Develop visual content: infographics, pitch deck graphics, social media assets
- Write and format email newsletters for investor updates and stakeholder communications
- Monitor and report on media mentions, competitor coverage, and industry trends in climate tech and ag tech
- Assist with event preparation: World Ag Expo, climate conferences, investor demo days
- Help build the PLANET.TECH brand guide and messaging framework
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, PR, or related field at UT Austin or Texas A&M
- Strong writing skills with the ability to make complex technology accessible and compelling
- Experience with social media management (personal or professional)
- Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar)
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently on content calendars
- Interest in climate tech, sustainability, agriculture, or deep tech storytelling
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with B2B marketing, especially for technical or hardware products
- Journalism, PR, or content marketing internship experience
- Video production or editing skills (huge plus for farm visit content and social)
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, HubSpot)
- Portfolio of writing samples or social media work
Why PLANET.TECH?
- Work directly with the CEO and founding team — no busy work, real strategic impact from day one

- Build your resume with a venture-backed climate tech startup solving a planetary-scale problem
- Flexible hours designed around your class schedule (10–20 hrs/week)
- Strong potential for full-time conversion or continued role for high performers
