Director Of Client Operations
Director of Client Operations
EQ Private Wealth Advisors — Palos Verdes, CA
Who We Are
At EQ Private Wealth Advisors, we don’t just manage portfolios. We serve as the Financial Directors of our clients' lives—helping them navigate their futures through sophisticated financial planning strategies and comprehensive wealth management. We are a high-touch, boutique firm where our clients are treated as family and friends, not account numbers. We’ve stepped away from the "corporate chain" model to build a practice rooted in deep relationships, trust, and a commitment to "Unreasonable Hospitality."
The Role
We are seeking a Director of Client Operations to be the "Anchor" of our firm. This is a role for a highly organized, detailed oriented, and licensed professional who takes pride in "owning the ecosystem." You are the "Safe Pair of Hands" that ensures nothing falls through the cracks, allowing our advisors to focus entirely on strategy while you ensure the office and our clients are meticulously cared for.
This is a full-time, in-office position based in our Palos Verdes office. We believe the best collaboration and the highest level of service happen when we are working side-by-side.
Who You Are
- The Practice Custodian: You have a naturally protective nature over the office, the advisors, and the families we serve. You have an authoritative yet warm presence, ensuring the "house" is always in order.
- Proactive & Autonomous: You don’t want or need to be micromanaged. You anticipate needs before they are voiced and take full ownership of your domain.
- High Emotional Intelligence: You can navigate complex family dynamics and high-net-worth relationships with grace, professional "straight talk," and genuine empathy.
-
Chief of Staff Mindset: You take pride in being the engine that keeps the firm running, ensuring the advisors are supported and the client experience is flawless.
Core Responsibilities
- Unreasonable Hospitality: You believe that "good service" is the floor and "wowing" the client is the ceiling. You’ll ensure every client interaction feels personal, premium, and thoughtful.
- Operations & Workflow Mastery: You will execute money movement, trades, and account maintenance with 100% accuracy using Wealthbox CRM and our custodial platforms, LPL Financial and Schwab.
- Advisor Support & Meeting Readiness: You ensure advisors are perfectly prepared for every meeting—files are ready, tech is tested, and the follow-up process is already in motion.
-
Event Architect: You will take the lead on organizing 3–4 intimate, high-quality client events per year, managing everything from the guest list to the final "wow" detail.
Qualifications
- The Essentials: Active Series 7 and Series 66 (or 63 and 65) licenses are required.
- Experience: 5+ years in wealth management. We are looking for someone with the industry "mileage" to handle ACATS, RMDs, and Trust documentation without a learning curve.
-
Technical Savvy: Proficiency with Wealthbox, LPL ClientWorks, or Schwab Advisor Center is a significant plus.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $85,000 – $120,000 (based on experience, professional designation, and licensing).
- Retirement: 401(k) plan with a Safe Harbor match.
- Work Culture: A collaborative, boutique environment in the South Bay—skip the DTLA/Century City commute and work in the community where you live.
- Growth: We are committed to your professional development and long-term career path as a leader within the firm.
