Actuarial Intern
BITCO Corporation is currently seeking an Actuarial Intern to join our Home Office team in Davenport, IA for Summer 2026. With 11 branch offices in 10 states, BITCO provides quality insurance services to special industries including construction, energy, and forest products from coast to coast.

BITCO's summer internship program is designed to provide educational and professional opportunities to students pursuing careers in commercial insurance or business-related fields. Interns will be assigned a variety of work that will help them develop the skills needed to succeed in their career.

Position Summary:
The focus of the Actuarial Intern position is developing knowledge about corporate insurance functions, the specialty insurance marketplace, and actuarial tasks and functions. Interns focus on developing the skills necessary for success by working with and assisting professionals with day-to-day job assignments and special projects.
Primary Responsibilities May Include:
- Perform duties of entry-level insurance professionals
- Assist with projects and day-to-day activities
- Research topics and prepare reports
- Perform department administrative and support duties
- Create, review, and analyze department data
- Participate in summer internship program events including lunch and learns, trainings, and networking
- Develop business knowledge and acumen through interactions and shadowing with other professionals
- Attend regular department or business unit meetings
- Complete required training
- Create and deliver presentations
- Other tasks and projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must be working toward an Actuarial, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related degree
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated, with the desire to learn and gain experience
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Ability to follow instructions and follow through on tasks
- Manage time to work on multiple projects and rotate through departments and projects
- Basic experience with MS Excel
- Must be available to work for the duration of the internship program
