Assistant Registrar

POSITION: Assistant Registrar - Lufkin

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
 Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college/university
 One year experience working in a professional environment.
 Excellent computer skills required, including Microsoft Office Suite (including Word and Excel) and web
browsers.
Preferred:
 Experience:
o Five years in higher education from an accredited college/university.
o Two years supervisory.
 Training or Technical Skills:
o Knowledge of THECB and SACSCOC rules/standards for records and reporting;
o Knowledge of student information system(s).
o Working knowledge of sequel programming.
o Proficient with Google Workspace tools like Docs, Sheets, and Drive to create, share, and manage work.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The position will report to the Registrar for job responsibilities and other College related activities as outlined in the
Policies and Procedures Manual. Essential duties include but are not limited to the following:
● Under the direction of the registrar, perform data cleanup and compilation of state reports for submission to the
THECB in accordance with posted deadlines.
● Assist with other state reporting, including FAST and Continuing Education state reports.
● Under the direction of the registrar, perform data cleanup and compiling of student enrollment and graduation reports
for submission to various agencies. (National Student Clearinghouse and IPEDS)
● Assist with processing grade change requests, alternative credits, credit by exam, and academic fresh starts.
● Assist with the end of term processes, including review of graduation applications for degree conferral.
● Assist with the notification and collection of certification rosters, midterm and final grades.
● Assist with student drops for non-payment and census no-shows.
● Assist with communication of academic suspension and the appeal process.
● Serve as a member of a team to maintain curriculum and degree integrity within the college SMS, including advising
trees and academic plans.
● Comply with the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 as amended (FERPA) as it pertains to student
records and requests.
CONTRACT & SALARY:
Annual salary of $55,000.00 per year in addition to excellent employee benefits. Proof of identity and eligibility to work
in the United States must be verified for successful candidate.
