Director Kreative Kids

About the Role
The Director is responsible for the daily operation of KKLC in accordance with the policies and standards of
the State of California Community Care Licensing Agency. This leadership role oversees budgeting, staffing,
professional development, program design, and community partnerships. The Director ensures that KKLC
remains a nurturing, safe, and loving environment where children thrive and families feel supported.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Oversight: Manage the Child Day Care Center Services program to ensure children receive
appropriate physical, nutritional, and developmental care.
- Compliance: Maintain staff-to-child ratios, uphold licensing regulations, and protect confidentiality of child
and family information.
- Staff Leadership: Hire, supervise, and evaluate teachers and aides; lead orientation and ongoing
professional development.
- Scheduling: Coordinate staff schedules, vacation/holiday coverage, and work assignments.
- Facility Management: Oversee maintenance, safety inspections, and fire/security protocols to ensure a
clean, safe environment.
- Curriculum & Activities: Implement group activities that foster growth and development.
- Community Engagement: Support marketing and outreach efforts; build partnerships with families and
community organizations.
- Administration: Maintain records, act as liaison with state offices, and serve as parent contact for classroom
issues.
- Flexibility: Provide emergency coverage as cook or teacher when needed; perform other childcare-related
duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership and organizational skills (required)
- Excellent time management skills (required)
- Knowledge of California childcare licensing regulations
- Knowledge of CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program) is required and will be assessed during
