Intervention Specialist Teacher
Summary:
Bio-Med Science Academy is an innovative, progressive, year-round public STEM Academy that prepares students to succeed in the global economy. The Academy opened in Rootstown, Ohio in August 2012 and received formal STEM designation in April 2013. As a member of the Ohio STEM Learning Network (OSLN), the Academy is a recognized STEM Academy along with other STEM schools across the state and the country. The Academy strives to attract highly qualified individuals with a passion and drive to rethink education to propel students into the global community with strong roots in 21st-century skills.
This position will handle a Special Education caseload, including Individualized Education Programs and 504 plans.
Qualifications:
- Current Ohio Licensure - Intervention Specialist
- Successful completion of a Bachelor’s degree
- A successful candidate will work in a team environment to create deep authentic and inquiry-based learning experiences while integrating content for all students. We are seeking candidates who will encourage and foster a culture of mutual respect, effective communication, innovative thinking, and a willingness to rethink education.
