Research Technician

We are seeking a Research Specialist to assist on a project entitled Microbial physiology of mercury methylation. This project will focus on using cultures of mercury-methylating microorganisms to understand the underlying microbial metabolic pathways that lead to the formation of toxic methylmercury. The primary objective of the position will be to use molecular biology techniques to develop, maintain, and characterize wild-type and knock-outs strains of interest to support experimental needs.
