In partnership with campus units and community stakeholders, these efforts continuously improve undergraduate programs and promote student persistence, engagement, and timely degree completion. These academic success priorities are advanced through the Office of Access, Transitions, and Student Success, which administers cohort-based programs serving students from targeted communities, including the Lansing Spartan Scholars Program (LSS) for first-year and transfer students from the Greater Lansing area and Detroit M.A.D.E., an initiative serving incoming first-year students from the Metro Detroit region.
