Woodwind and Violin Instructor
Duties:
-Use the Bach to Rock curriculum to provide a safe and nurturing fun environment for children and adults to learn and grow.
- Provide piano lessons to students of all ages and skill levels
- Implement the Bach to Rock curriculum to plan lessons based on students' goals and abilities while tailoring the lesson your way for fun
- Teach music theory, sight-reading, and proper technique
- Foster a positive, fun and supportive learning environment
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback and guidance to students, parents and managers
- Prepare students for recitals, competition and showcase as needed
-Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a variety of personalities
-Experienced performer (either solo or group) prefered
-Experience working with youth and/or beginning musicians-Ability to interact effectively with children and adults
-Light cleaning
Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in playing the Saxophone, Clarinet and Flute.
- Previous experience teaching woodwind lessons and some piano is preferred
- Knowledge of music theory and ability to teach sight-reading
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience and the ability to work with students of different ages and skill levels
- Classroom management skills to maintain a fun, productive learning environment
- Ability to educate and inspire students in their musical journey while having fun
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback and guidance
- Prepare students for recitals, competition and showcase as needed
-Assist with community events
Note: Experience or knowledge in special education, tutoring, early childhood education, childhood development, or behavior management may be beneficial but not required for this position.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2.0 – 6.0 per week
