Job Description

A leading 3D printing company in the United States is currently seeking a responsible, professional, and experienced 3D Printing Field Service Technician. Candidates with prior military experience are especially encouraged to apply, as this is viewed as a significant plus.

 

Role Overview:

The selected technician will ensure the peak performance of 3D printers at various customer sites. Key tasks include:

  • Installing, relocating, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on 3D printers.
  • Providing technical and operational support across different environments, including corporate businesses, educational institutions, and military facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the best operational performance of systems at customer sites.
  • Minimize equipment downtime and maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Respond promptly to dispatch directives from supervisors to repair equipment.
  • Frequently travel for onsite equipment installations, maintenance, and upgrades.
  • Educate customers on product operations and maintenance.
  • Availability for occasional off-hour calls and tasks.
  • Interpret safety rules, operating manuals, wiring diagrams, flowcharts, etc.
  • Log all work activities using computer-based reporting systems.

Education & Training Requirements:

  • Associate's degree and 2 years of technical experience or a High School Diploma with 3 years of field service or technician experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Practical, hands-on approach to tasks.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Strong background in customer service.
  • Organizational, problem-solving, and customer relation skills.
  • Proficient communication skills and dedication to professional representation.
  • Capacity to effectively communicate and advise customers.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work independently at customer sites.
  • Valid driver's license.
