A&P Maintenance Technician

Description

JetRx is looking for an A&P Maintenance Technician to join the team at one of JetRx’s Southern Florida locations  (Miami–Opa Locka, Fort Lauderdale, or West Palm Beach).

 

The A&P Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, 

repairs, and modifications on a variety of aircraft in accordance with FAA regulations, company standards, and Original 

Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) manuals. When needed, Maintenance Technician provides rapid-response mobile 

maintenance support for AOG situations, minimizing aircraft downtime and ensuring safe return to service across 

various locations.

 

RESPONSIBLITIES 

• Perform maintenance per work orders and ensure compliance with FAA Part 145 standards.

• When necessary, travel to off-site locations to resolve AOG issues quickly and professionally. 

• Troubleshoot mechanical and avionics systems.

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, structural, and avionics issues under high-pressure conditions.

• Maintain accurate maintenance records.

• Communicate effectively with clients and dispatch on repair timelines.

• Collaborate with inspection personnel and provide detailed discrepancy reports.

• Adhere to safety and quality standards and ensure all work complies with FAA and Company policies

• Ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the needs of the operation.

• Additional duties as assigned. 

Requirements

 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid FAA A&P license required.

• 2+ years of aircraft maintenance experience preferred.

• 3+ years of field or AOG maintenance experience.

• Familiarity with Gulfstream, Bombardier, or similar aircraft is a plus.

• Strong written and oral communications skills

• Willingness to work in inclement weather

• Ability to work successfully independently or as part of a team 

• Strong troubleshooting skills 

• Ability to analyze complex situations, processes, and procedures. Demonstrate flexibility in problem solving  when required. 

• Ability to work in a manual environment, with physical demands such as:

              - Lift, push, pull or carry heavy objects up to 50lbs

              - Bend, stoop, squat, reach and grasp

              - Work at heights in excess of 5 feet

              - Work in confined spaces 

              - Ability to accurately judge distances 

 

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to pass a DOT pre-employment urine drug screen and random drug and alcohol screenings in  accordance with company policy.

• Hold a current mechanic certificate with valid FAA airframe and powerplant ratings 

• Must hold a valid, unrestricted U.S. driver’s license 

• Authorized to work in the United States 

• Must be able to obtain SIDA and/or non-SIDA airport badges by passing a background check ordered by the  airport.

• Must be able to pass comprehensive background check including a TSA required fingerprint based criminal 

records check in compliance with TSA Security Program Standards and 49 CFR 154.229 and CFR 1544.230
