Athletics Coordinator

The Archer School for Girls in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking an Athletics Coordinator to start immediately. The Archer School for Girls is an educational community that supports and challenges young women to discover their passions and realize their true potential. Serving 500 girls in grades 6-12, Archer’s joyful and ambitious program is founded on the latest research around how girls learn best. We are looking for a qualified Athletics Coordinator who will work closely with the Director of Athletics to support the empowerment of Archer’s student-athletes through sport in a mission-aligned environment. The Athletics Coordinator assumes responsibility as given by the Athletic Director for the Athletic Program in both the Middle and Upper School.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Support the Director of Athletics in the details needed to manage 20 Middle School and Upper School sports teams, athletes, and coaching staff.  
  • Mange the calendar of the Director of Athletics 
  • Facilitate athlete transportation to off campus practices, competitions and events. 
  • Order, organize, and distribute all athletics equipment, forms, awards, and uniforms for all teams and coaches
  • Communicate the weekly athletics schedule and logistics to the Archer community
  • Communicate with opposing schools regarding confirmation of competitions 
  • Manage and send out early dismissal notices and rosters to faculty, staff, and Division Coordinators 
  • Support the Athletic Director in securing facilities for all team practices and games 
  • Attend Middle School Pacific Basin League meetings 
  • Set up and provide resource support for the Athlete Leadership Council meetings 
  • Submit game schedules to assignors to book officials/refs/umpires
  • Communicate with officials/refs/umpires with on campus logistics
  • Manage the Archer Athletics website with athletics schedules, calendar updates, competitions, practices, and team information
  • Manage the CIF site for all Varsity sports and PBL for all Middle School sports
  • Maintain CIF site with up-to-date rosters, schedules and results for Varsity sports 
  • Maintain PBL documents with up-to-date rosters, schedules and results for middle school sports 
  • Manage HUDLE platform with up-to-date rosters, schedules. 
  • Organize details and support the Director of Athletics for annual Coaches Orientation, Senior Night Celebrations, speaking events, athletics awards night, pep rallies, and Athlete Leadership Council meetings. 
  • Organize and schedule Concussion Testing for Upper School athletes and coaches 
  • Communicate playoffs and post playoff games in accordance with CIF compliance 
  • Support attendance routines for coaches and school-day attendance 
  • Support game day operations including set-up and spectator management.  
  • Attend home game on/off site when Director of Athletics is at a “home game” off site 
  • Coordinate with the nurse regarding athlete paperwork for MS and US participation clearance - pre-participation physicals and required forms. 
  • Act as a liaison between the Athletics office and Business Office to
    • Secure transportation for all team practices and games
    • Prepare Check Requests for payment of all officials, gym rentals, trainers 
    • Collect and organize receipts and/or create purchase orders from coaches
  • Participate in all-school and staff meetings, community events
  • Coaching opportunity is possible with experience

  • Experience in an athletics and/or academic setting 
  • Ability and desire to work collaboratively 
  • Strong organizational skills and systems 
  • Strong technology skills
  • Proficient in navigating social media platforms 

Education and/or Experience 

  • A bachelor’s degree 
  • A background in school-based athletics

Salary Range: $28.85 to $39.62 per hour (depending on qualifications and experience).
