Position Summary
The Legal Department Intern will provide administrative and operational support to the Legal team, with a primary focus on supporting the contract management system and assisting with the development of processes related to legal invoicing and UCC filings. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, exercises discretion with confidential information, and is comfortable using technology, including AI tools, to improve efficiency and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the paralegal with contract intake, organization, and maintenance within the contract management system, including document uploads and data accuracy checks.
- Assist in documenting and improving workflows and procedures for contract tracking and contract-related reporting.
- Help develop and implement processes for legal invoice tracking, review coordination, and record retention.
- Assist with organizing, tracking, and maintaining records related to UCC filings, including status tracking and supporting documentation.
- Perform related administrative tasks and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Current undergraduate or graduate student in Legal Studies, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace (especially Excel/Sheets).
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
- Strong written communication skills and the ability to follow documented procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with document management systems and/or contract lifecycle management tools.
- Familiarity with invoicing processes or basic understanding of UCC filings.
- Experience using AI tools to help create, document, or improve operational processes and workflows.
