CONSTRUCTION INTERN – Summer 2026
Position Summary: Assist project managers in all aspects of a heavy civil bridge construction project. This is a paid hourly position competitive within the industry.
Duties:
- Assist project managers in planning, scheduling, submittals, contract execution and project documentation.
- Work will include travel to Idaho and different projects in Utah.
- Position may require occasional night work.
Qualifications:
- Applicants should be enrolled in a collegiate construction management or civil management program at a sophomore level or higher.
- Applicants should demonstrate effective communication and organization skills, and the ability to quickly learn and understand the technical aspects of construction projects.
- Ability to learn and understand plans, specifications, schedules, estimates, quantity calculations, and accounting procedures.
- Willingness and drive to learn new things and take on challenging tasks.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Bluebeam, P6, Microsoft Project or surveying is a plus but not required.
- Clean driving record is preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Time will be split between the office and jobsite.
- Interns may be required to drive company vehicles.
- Good communication skills with speaking, phone, texting and email are required.
- Use and wear of PPE is required on jobsites.
