Job Summary
FordDirect is looking to hire an Intern within the Data Operations team for our Summer Internship Program. This position will provide exposure to IT Operations including Cloud Infrastructure and Disaster Recovery. The ideal candidate will be curious by nature and have a desire to learn new tools and technologies. This is an excellent opportunity to obtain real-world, business experience.
This will be a full-time, paid position based in Dearborn, MI
Hybrid: Intern will be required to work in office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
Duration: June 8th through August 28th, 2026
Essential Functions
- Develop and monitor data pipeline
- Provision, monitor and tag Cloud Infrastructure to improve operational visibility and resiliency
- Set up and document Disaster Recovery infrastructure
- Update Infrastructure design and Architecture artifacts
- Assist the team representative in a variety of tasks, meetings, and interact with teams
Learning Opportunities
- Gain knowledge working for a Digital Marketing Company within the automotive industry
- Problem solve and troubleshoot issues within our Data and Compute infrastructure
- Develop exposure to provision data services and infra components in a public cloud environment
- Exposure to Agile development methodology
- Obtain experience working both independently and on a team
- Presenting outcomes to teams and leadership

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Python, C# and SQL programming
- Knowledge of compute and data infrastructure
- Familiarity with public cloud infrastructure
- Curiosity with the desire to try / learn new things
- Strong organizational skills and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member with a positive ‘can do’ attitude
Education
Senior year student preferred, pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering with an interest in Data & Infrastructure engineering
