This full-time, exempt leadership role offers flexibility—and requires it. Your schedule may include early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends based on operational needs. Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Staff Development
Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate program staff and volunteers.
Build high-performing teams through coaching, motivation, and accountability.
Serve as part of the YMCA Management Team and Manager on Duty as assigned.
Program & Operational Management
Lead development, delivery, and evaluation of childcare and camp programs.
Maintain compliance with YMCA policies, licensing standards, and safety requirements.
Partner with schools, community agencies, and internal departments to support program success.
Conduct routine site visits to ensure program quality, cleanliness, and safety.
Strategic & Financial Oversight
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial controls, and program outcomes.
Analyze data, systems, and processes to identify opportunities for growth and retention.
Support fundraising initiatives including the Annual Giving Campaign.
Administrative Responsibilities
Maintain accurate records and documentation.
Coordinate registration, fee schedules, handbooks, and participant communications.
Respond effectively to inquiries, concerns, and emergency situations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 2+ years of supervisory experience in youth programs, childcare, camp, or related fields.
Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt to variable hours including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
DOJ & FBI fingerprint clearance required which includes sex offender screening.
Proficient with Windows-based programs and technology systems.
