Full-time | Salary: $65,911 – 88,823 Annually

 

The County of Los Angeles Department of Aging and Disabilities is recruiting for the position of Community Center Specialist II. In this role, you will assist the administrative head of a multi program community service or senior center, helping lead daily operations and ensuring services are responsive to the needs of older adults, adults with disabilities, and the broader community.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of community and senior service programs
  • Lead and support Community Health Workers, Neighborhood Workers, and auxiliary staff
  • Build and maintain relationships with community based organizations, government agencies, and County departments
  • Identify community needs, analyze challenges, and help recommend practical solutions

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Two (2) years of experience in a responsible *administrative, **supervisory, ***consultative, or ****staff capacity in the field of human services such as employment, social welfare, or community services
  • Experience must include active participation in identifying community problems, analyzing issues, and making recommendations for their resolution

 

*Administrative roles apply management and analytical skills

 

**Supervisory roles oversee and manage staff performance

 

***Consultative roles provide expert guidance on issues

 

****Staff capacity roles support leadership with research and recommendations on staffing and program needs
