Job Summary
FordDirect is looking to hire an Intern within the Testing Center of Excellence (TCoE) team for our Summer Internship Program. This position will provide exposure to testing automation, AI tools, and miscellaneous technologies. The ideal candidate will be curious by nature and ready to learn something new in the technology space. This is an excellent opportunity to obtain real-world business experience within a Quality and Testing function.
This will be a full-time, paid position based in Dearborn, MI
Hybrid: Intern will be required to work in the office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
Duration: June 8th through August 28th, 2026
Essential Functions
- Develop Java / Python test automation to validate data of FordDirect products
- Develop a suite of UI automated tests that will be executed against dealer websites
- Setup and configure Azure DevOps/Jenkins CI/CD jobs used to execute automated tests
- Assist the team representative in a variety of tasks, attend meetings, and interact with teams
Learning Opportunities
- Gain knowledge working for a Digital Marketing Company within the automotive industry
- Introduction to automated software testing
- Will gain experience with hands-on Java / Python development, Git workflow and CI/CD experience
- Exposure to Agile development methodology
- Obtain experience working both independently and on a team

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Experience in developing reusable, efficient, and reliable Java, or Python code
- Knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, XML
- Knowledge of SQL or MongoDB databases
- Strong analytical skills and tech savvy
- Solid understanding of OOP concepts
- Curiosity with the desire to try / learn new things
- Strong organizational skills and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member with a positive ‘can do’ attitude
Education
Senior year student preferred, pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical degree
